Exit Strategy: The Psychology of When, Why, and How to Leave Your Business
By Sherry Walling, PhD
Entrepreneurs pour their time, resources, and creative energy into their businesses. It becomes what they’re known for, an extension of them… their baby. However, one’s relationship with their business isn’t permanent. Exiting a business can be an extraordinarily difficult process: logistically, relationally, and psychologically.
In this talk, Dr. Sherry will invite attendees to explore the rarely considered human aspects of an exit. We will touch on the motivations that guide exit decisions, and how to best prepare for the intensity, complexity, and duration of the exit process. We’ll also address the deep and juicy work of re-orienting to life after the business
This session helps prepare entrepreneurs for the psychological challenges of an exit so that they can experience this life-changing milestone with ease and satisfaction rather than angst and turmoil.
